I'm going to disagree with everyone here. Confidence is bullshit. Ignore everything that everyone is telling you about yourself and just be.
If you want to talk to the pretty girl just do it. If you are worried about upsetting others or pissing people off then just deal with it as it happens and furgodsakes have fun.
Life is about experience. If you fear experience then you will die without it.
