I have no idea about using a converter/adapter for changing the socket for the CPU, but I have flashed a few BIOS in my experience. All you should have to do is stick that disk in when booting up, and it should automatically prompt to the A:, then all you have to do is type in the name of the BIOS flashing program, it should be an .exe of some sort.
