Everyone reacts to everything differently. That's jhust how he reacted to shrooms. Could be he had too much, but if that was the case he might have ended up in the ER. I know fair amoung about how most drugs act on your brain and nervous system, and frankly I won't mess with them.
As several others have said, you're poisoning yourself. Thats what causes the 'trip'.
