I heard rumors about being able to mod the 9800se to 9800 Pro, but I don't think I ever read any testimonials of people who had accomplished the feat. Keep in mind that not only are half the pipelines locked in the SE, the memory interface is only 128 bits and poor quality ram modules are used.
This is much different from the 9800 non-pro to 9800 Pro mod which is simply a change of the card's bios (which I did).
Like others have said, I would just recommend getting he Sapphire 9800 pro from newegg, it's an awesome deal.
