I have an Epox EP8k7A motherboard which has a 266 MHz front side bus. I want to upgrade the processor, currently using an Xp 1800+. The Epox website says that the highest speed the mobo will support is an XP2200+. My question is: Can I put in an XP2400 and will it work properly? The reason I ask is that all the XP processors up until the 2400 use the same 266 FSB, if both procs have use the same socket type, and same FSB shouldn't they be interchangeable?

I can't go to a 2500+ because that's when AMD switched over to the 333 MHz FSB, which I know I definitely can't run.
