I really enjoyed this series, but be prepared for it to not be what you expect. My main complaint would be the ending, it's almost as if Tad couldn't think of a good conclusion, so he just left it hanging. With that being said, the journey getting to the end is one hell of a ride. I say keep reading!
Oh, and in case you don't know, Tad Williams earlier trilogy, beginning with "The Dragonbone Chair", is totally awesome.
