vb2 has a problem sending e-mail confirmations after an e-mail change sometimes. (I know this because I admin a number of vbulletin forums and use to encounter it all the time)
An administrator can very easily just change your status from awaiting email confirmation to regular user.
I suggest sending a private message to one of them
