Well for the first time in my life..
Well for the first time in my life I got to see counterfeit money.
I got paid the other day from my boss in cash. He gave me 90 bucks 4 20 dollar bills and 2 5 dollar bills.
I didnt even look at it I was just told it was 90 so I glanced at it to count and make sure it was right like I always do.
I went to the bank to deposit the money into my account and to change over some US 20s that my mom asked me to cash for her. The whole time I m holding this handful of money the one 20 dollar canadian bill is sticking out oddly against the rest. So when I got up to the teller I told the girl this looks odd, I got it in my pay the other day from my boss but it doesnt look right. She looked at it and thought the same thing I did that it had just litterally been through the washing machine, old faded and picked up off the ground somewhere. We were both puzzled and so she asked the teller beside her, she didnt know and then finally another woman came over and looked. We were all stunned that it was fake. I was kinda ticked off though cause they wouldnt give it back to me I wanted to keep it and frame it.
I called my boss and told him about it and hes going to replace the 20 cause I m out 20 bucks and I got the note that the teller gave me with her name on it. Apparently my boss got it from his bank.
