Factory Installed GPS vs. Visor mount
I used the Magellan NAV NeverLost system when I rented a car in FL the other week. it was awesome because I didn't know where we were going very well, and I was traveling from Tampa to Gainesville to Sarasota to Port Charlotte.
It kept very good tabs on where I was and how to get to where I wanted to go. Not always the most direct route, but I never got lost.
It's a bit expensive still, installed in the MINI it's a US$1400 deal. Magellan's top end system is about the same but you can take it from car to car.
Anyone have any experience with these? I only used it for a weekend and I find it like a Tivo, I don't think I am going to be able to live without it.
