When done with that, remove all the animated Gifs, kill the frames and begine with an idea of layout instead of content.
Dreamweaver is a good alternative to Frontpage that meets all WWW standards (Frontpage does not).
Approach this from a graphic design standpoint. How do you want to present your information is as important from a design perspective as what you present. How you chose to present it makes or breaks you. A poor presentation will loose the attention of your audience before you've said a word.
Some things to keep in mind:
- It's easier for the human mind to read black on white text or white on black text. Adding color can throw an entirely new meaning into your presentation. Pick at most three colors or tones and keep with them for consistency.
-Of the two, white on black is scientificly proven to be easier to read.
-Socialy, we are used to navigation of a site occuring at the top or left of the page. Even newspapers know and employ this by placing the more dominant news in on the left side, and using the right for local writers.
