I bought a 36 ft Gibson house boat over there so it will be a slow but comfortable ride. We start on the 27th and hope to make it in 3 days.(wishful thinking) It ought to be quite an adventure.
I will put up some pics when I get back

Hey, you'll be starting in my neck of the woods ( I live in Cape Coral and work in Ft. Myers ). You'll see manatees and plenty of alligators (keep the gators in mind, when you are tempted to jump in for a swim). You'll love the canal locks. Just think long and hard about the gators. When you see some of the seventeen or so footers, you'll prolly think twice about going in for a dip.
I'm curious if you can make the trip in three days. There is so much beauty to see (especially on the west side of the Okeechobee), you'll want to take your time and not try to race thru, not that you can with a houseboat, anyway.
Am looking forward to seeing your photos, also. Please share.
