Look upon my mind's great plains
Rolling hills and blue-white sky
Lay upon the tickling grass
As great white clouds meander by

All alone - my solitude
My great beyond-all-things
I wait, I sigh mildly
At what my conscious brings

I stand to watch the goings-on
And bow my head to none
Though this strength shows through to me
Great work is never done

I grow and change like the tides
My body meets the sea
Seasons pass, but I'm still here
Waiting stoic'ly.
