Mandrake's naming conventions have gotten a little confusing. The 10.0 Community release is really a sort of final beta before the 10.0 Official release (due around May, I believe). Already there are over 300 Mb of updates for the system installed by the downloadable .iso files. I tried to install it the other night, but after the installer locked for the 5th time I gave up and decided to stick with 9.2 (the last official release) until some of the major problems are resolved.
If anyone is considering installing 10.0 community, be ye warned: A lot of people are finding that they cannot boot their windows install after installing Mandrake 10. The error has something to do with the differences in how Linux and Windows write partition tables and the actual physical geometry of the harddisk. If you have already encounctered this problem you can try to go into your bios and set your drive settings from auto to Logical Block Address (LBA). This has resolved the issue for some but not all.
