I've seen both breeds, and I think slow witted, shuffling zombies are much more menacing than the Quick & Undead. The former is an oppressive force that slowly wears down the survivor's resolve, the latter is simply a mob. Plus, the zombies I've seen in previews don't look sufficiently rotten enough to please me.
I'm interested in the new movie, but I don't plan on it stealing the original's place in my heart. I may go see it after I get some word-of-mouth.
