The choice is yours, but IMO you're going to get better handling/have more options out of the 'teg.
Whoever told you that a car's motor has no redline, well, go and slap them in the face. Even if a set of gauges doesn't have a red line on the cluster, does not mean that you can rev the motor as high as you want without consequences.
