The mod DOES have single player support, although I don't think it's for all the maps. I also found that the AI doesn't care for artillery.
I love that the rifles are more accurate and do more damage. I always hated how in BF1942 bad guys would require two 30 caliber rounds to the chest.
I see version .6 is out, but I can't download it anywhere. (I tried the Bit-Torrent thing and was getting like 5k per sec...on broadband)
