Last week i was shamefully watching an installment of
Average Joe (hadn't really seen it before) and the
hot girl dressed up as an ugly girl, claiming to be her cousin or something, in order to see how superficial the guys were (i know this is probably aired a long time ago in the US, we're just getting the 2nd installment now..this doesn't matter though).
After the guys met the girl (in a fatsuit), they were secretly taped talking about her. One of the guys bought up the concept of a
DUFF which stands for
designated ugly fat friend (i think?), and he claimed that once
in with the
DUFF, you get in with the girl.
Although, myself, i think this is pretty fucking stupid. Although, you have to appreciate the very concept he bought up, after he was evicted (cause of this); in that, when guys are just talking amongst themselves, there is a degree of freedom and deviancy in their speech which is probably, somehow, related to some kind of competition (whose the most deviant, maybe?) or just general group mentality in that you don't act
normal when in a group of guys like that (probably more likely in younger guys though, immaturity and all!)
What bought this topic back up in my mind was that i was discussing variations on the
Houdini with some guys, at a party last night. Basically, i tihnk it was just a shock value thing for a laugh, really...i think i am loosing my train of thought, i've stewed on this too long...
