A quick camping recipe...
sometimes when you've packed deep into the wilderness or just on a quick weekend camping trip, it's hard to prepare something delicious w/the limited resources available.
if you've happened to catch a trout or two on your expedition... here is something i really enjoy.
clean the trout the conventional way, leave the skin on it.
drop a dollop of butter and a quarter cup brown sugar into a fry-pan. preheat the frypan over the fire beforehand... set it on a rock or grill to get an even dispersement of heat. set the fish in the pan after the butter has melted completely... but before it starts to burn. just a few minutes w/the skin-side up should do it, no need to flip it over. season w/a pinch of salt.
if you're on an extended hike... a tablespoon of fat will replace the butter.
i know this is a really simple way to prepare fish while you're out in the woods... but that is part of it's charm. just a couple cheap ingredients, a pan and 5 minutes of your time is enough to get it done. take care.

If you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance for survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.
