I have a friend who's a parts manager at a MBZ dealer. Tells me the buy back rate at his store is rediculous. They bought back a S500 and the service manager purchased it for $35k before it was labled a lemon. They were never able to duplicate the problem but they bought back anyways.
The bulk of the problems were with E class cars and the voice navagation/control system. MBZ just didn't know how to fix them and blamed the vendor of the system (Bosch I think). They've since figured it out but by then the CSI scores were already in the toilet.

They claim since they're puting new technology into thier cars they're gonna have more problems than anyone else that's not using it. But why do that if you dont understand it yourself?
With all that I still plan on trading my C280 for a newer model. Maybe not that new
