Dell...
My GF has a dell laptop(inspiron 8200) that she got as a graduation gift from her father...3 days ago she got a winxp kernel dump BSOD (fkernel inpage error - tdisk.sys) and shut if off and when it booted it said "Optical drive not found, Disk drive not found" so i turned it off and let it sit for a while and turned it back on and it worked fine for like 4 hours. then BSOD again same file, and the HD is making a clicking sound...restart, windows boots to that check disk screen "File segment 10294 unable to read" up to something like 50,000...so i call dell and ask wtf is going on and they say the disk is bad (which i figured) and they wont replace it because her warrenty expired in 2003...so i check the serial # on IBMs warrenty validation page and it comes up valid with an expire date of "See point of purchase" which makes me think dell uses used and refurbished shit...figured i'd share...
