Weird, but very cool indeed.
Although I fail to see the functionality behind such an implant. The guy did say that he didn't either and that it was just an experiment though.
Personally I doubt I'd actually do something like that, even if I wasn't around computers most of the time.
He did say one very interesting thing though, about the computerinterface technology advancing at a snails pace. I have always had the same opinion, most especially because I suffer from RSI.
I can't see people (even die-hard computerguys) implanting stuff in them just to interface better with their pc though.
