Weird, but very cool indeed.
Although I fail to see the functionality behind such an implant. The guy did say that he didn't either and that it was just an experiment though. Personally I doubt I'd actually do something like that, even if I wasn't around computers most of the time. He did say one very interesting thing though, about the computerinterface technology advancing at a snails pace. I have always had the same opinion, most especially because I suffer from RSI. I can't see people (even die-hard computerguys) implanting stuff in them just to interface better with their pc though.

At this moment in time I'm trying to think of anything that would make it impractical for me to do this. I can't come up wiht anything at the moment, and it would be a really cool experiment. In the worst case, it's removable.

I wonder if he'd set off the anti-theft things anywhere? I guess he didn't at the library so probably nowhere else, but it'd be annoying. Sort of like that prank you play on your friends by putting one of those magnetic theft labels in his wallet or something and laughing as he gets harassed by security at best buy....

Yeah, that sounds cool and everything, but that wouldn't have much purpose for me. It'd be cool to have when you're...uh...well, um, it'd just be cool to have.

I think this may be a crude step toward developing a kind of electromagnetic implant that could receive electromagnetic signals and send them directly to the brain??? I don't know...just thinking aloud
