Cross dominant shooting
Does anyone have any tips for this? I just found out that I am left eye dominant but I am right handed in everything I do. Therefore I have always shot right handed. Is there anything I should be doing to help my accuracy?

I am left eye dominant.
I shoot my pistols right handed, but sighting with my left eye. for rifles, I really should be shooting lefty, but havent opened that can of worms yet. I will soon tho. you should be shooting everything left handed. especially rifles, I seem to be ok enough shooting long guns with my right eye that it hasn't really caused any problems yet. and I think the technical term is cross occular. so, to sum up, if you cant learn to shoot left handed then your gonna have to close your left eye, I dont think its that big a deal for longguns anyways, but for pistols it is, so I use my left to sight hope I havent confused you and I hope this helps. funniest thing I ever heard on this subject was from an marine. "I once had a drill instructor 'help' me 'work through' my problem" :lol

I've just adapted my right eye to shoot. Going left handed, if you haven't been shooting for a long time, is the way to go, though. Before you start setting in that "muscle memory" go ahead and make the switch. I'm going to start trying it pretty soon myself because my vision in my right eye is getting bad as I get older.
