Roomate just purchased a DDay Garand

Well my roomate finally did what he said he was gonna do. He purchased the limited DDay garand. The coincidencet is the cd expired to get the money to purchase it and on June 6th and he bought it on June 6th. Kinda pricey but damn it's nice. Too bad he will shoot it.

That's beautiful, he's actually going to shoot it, wow I wouldn't shoot it at all, it would be a really nice display somewhere in my house.

I've never understood display weapons, it's like buying a saw that you won't cut anything with. Though it is a beautiful rifle and worth looking at.

Is that an actual D-Day Garand? As in, one that was used during D-Day?

Or is it just commemorative?

That's what I was wondering too. Just from the one pic that sorta looks like a SA commemorative rifle.
