muzzleloader preferences?
The rumor is that NY may have an early muzzloader (deer) season next year. If that's going to be the case then I need to go buy a muzzleloader!
Anybody here hunting with one? Care to share your favorites and any recommendations? Thanks! |

I only own Thompson Center Muzz.
I got a Omega and a Renagade. Both Great Rifles. I use my Omega because it will stand up to the weather and still shoot great. Since its a inline. Omega is a VERY easy to clean rifle. My renagade is a great rifle but i had a misfire on a deer last year when the cap got moisture under it because of the snow. My father has a Oncore Oncore is a Great shooting and Looking Rifle. Easy to Clean rifle. But Then again these rifles both cost 400+$ and i know there is alot of other muzz. out there that cost alot less. But i have no idea if they will shoot anygood since i have neva owned one. However my grandfather did buy a inline knight rifle and it was realy a joke. Took forever to clean. The action broke 2+ times in a year. From my experance with guns "You get what you pay for" is the perfect expresshion. |
Ever since my brother-in-law's cap and ball revolver tried to set my beard on fire, I sorta avoided muzzleloaders.
