44 MAGNUM
 

Just had the pleasure of firing a 44 magnum, felt really good has anybody fired a 50 cal desert eagel??? if you have what was it like?

I haven't, but I too have fired a 44 magnum, and it had surprisingly soft recoil.

Must have had the long barrel, the .44 Mag I shot was like shooting a shotgun shell out of it.

I personally think .44 Mag is an overkill, it might be really effective in short range situation, but sustained firing is near impossible.

Yeah, it probably is. It was a pretty heavy gun, which probably helped. I was comparing it to a Glock 17, and the Glock actually had harsher recoil to me. I'm assuming that's not a normal occurence. :D
