Grips should be standard for a normal 1911, from what I remember. Got to a gunshow and pick up a pair of cheap OEM scales. You should be able to fidn them easily and cheaply from parts suppliers. Give em a test fit. Assuming they work, you can then buy whatever custom grips fit your budget and taste.
I would suggest a gunsmith for the slide. There are quite a bit of A/M slides available that will fit, but to get proper tolerances, a smith is best. I general it involves a vise with an X-lever and some filing, usually of the slide's mating surfaces. If I remember correctly, the Delta had a normal slide consistent with it's model (Series 70/80), and the major differences being bushing, barrel, and badge. None of which are individual to the slide assembly. It does not need to be done by the factory. |
