My new "Red Mist" maker!
http://img69.photobucket.com/albums/...020/700vls.jpg
I purchased this Friday, 22-250 Model 700 VLS(Varmint Laminated Stock) Currently have a 3-9 40mm Leupold, will be replaced when I get the money by a Leupold 6.5 - 20 50mm. I shot a dime group at 100 yards with factory cartridges, with my own reloads I shot a dime group at 200, going down to a shooting range in a few weeks to test it out at 300-500 yards to see how far I can stretch it for groundhoggies! Shooting 55gr Vmax bullets but will switch to hollow points or whatever if its more accurate. |
Beautiful looking weapon. The stock in particular is exquisite. Do you have any pictures of your model?
For groundhogs, I prefer this. |
Mind if I ask how much you paid? Badass looking weapon.
|
I paid 550 for it, scopes gonna be around 400 bucks and the factory cartridges I bought for reloading were about 60 bucks.
It'll be about 1 grand when its all done and said. DelayedReaction, thats exactly what my gun looks like, you can't really tell but the barrel in that pic is the same Bull Barrel as mine is too. I can try to get a pic of it though |
very very poor quality pics, coz my digital camera is cheap but here ya go.
http://img69.photobucket.com/albums/...no2020/004.jpg http://img69.photobucket.com/albums/...no2020/009.jpg Thats the best I can do until I buy a new camera :( but if you wanna look at it more closely Remington.com has pics of it, as well as many pics show up on a google search. (oh yeah that scope is the 3-9, my scope will be 10mm bigger and sit up a little higher to make up for its being bigger.) |
Never seen that round before. Looks to be a flat round. Gots ta love that.
|
Took it out today and shot me a groundhog, only seen 1 :(
I seen some crows too and I nailed one at around 300 yards. I love this gun so much, such a amazing shooting weapon, trigger pull has such a perfect little creep in it, i like creep so I can tell when its gonna go off easier. It's 9 3/4 pounds it sits on sandbags or a shooting tripod so solid. I cannot say enough good things about this weapon. |
