Would you carry a gun if you could?

I already do.

I would only because I know that if a criminal thinks that I might have a gun he won't f**k with me.

We were discussing this in Political Sciences today... thats why I bring it up

Alaska allows everyone to carry a Gun so I do if I need to.

Since Missouri now has it, I will just as soon as I get all the stuff one has to do finished.

I took my CCW class/test for Oklahoma last weekend. Will be carrying soon.

I would, but I live in MD. Forget about it. We have a Beretta manufacturing plant, but you cannot carry. MD is a shall issue state, but no one ever gets a permit. After you pay your fee to apply, they say no deal and then keep your fee.

I would love too, but can't. Welcome to California, where you have to have material justification to carry a concealed weapon, being that "personal protection" is not reason enough.

As soon as I turned 21 I took the CCW class for Oklahoma. As soon as I turned 23 (the law at the time) I got my permit. I can and do carry. got my 45 on me as I type this message.

I can carry in my state, and I plan on getting my CWP, but right now I'm in school nine months out of the year and don't really have a need to carry. If I end up in an area where I feel there is a need to carry, I will get my permit and I will carry.

When I am old enough to get a gun permit I plan on carring a gun with me when I head out in the city. Unfortunately in my state you cannot own a gun unless you get a permit and you need to get a specific permit to carry it also.

As iamnormal pointed out, www.packing.org is a good resource for finding CCW laws and requirements for your state.

I will most likely be getting one before the year is out. I personally prefer .45's. I have a Ruger K97DC, I load 185+P Remington Golden Sabers, 1 or 2 hits from that, and you aint gonna get up to fast if at all.

I don't carry but i have had my CWL for about 2 years so if i feel the need i can. I do however carry one in my truck sometimes.
