AR 15 Varmint
I am planning on buying an AR-15 varmint rifle. I've decided on getting either a Rock River Arms Varmit EOP or a Bushmaster Varmint Special and was wondering if anybody here had any experience with either company?
I have heard some very good things about the RRA Varmint. I havent heard very much about the Bushmaster. So what are your thoughts?

Both companies are reputable, so you shouldn't have a problem with either.
Personally, I'm a Bushmaster fan, but that's just my own choice.

A firend of mine used to work in a gun shop a few years back. At that time, the Rock River guns were far better than the Bushmaster ones. Best bet is to go to a few shops that sells both and ask them about it to find out what the current standards are for each company.

I have bought a DCM match AR-15 from fulton armory in maryland. I have yet to have any problems with it, and it is more accurate then they would say it would be. I dont know how they stack up price wise to the others, but you can get it set up just like you want from them with no hassles.

I have 2 RRA 1 Colt and 1 Bushy. All of them are great guns. I would have to give RRA the #1 rating though. The fit and finish are great. Both of the RRA are SS Bull barrel guns. Thay are both tack drivers.... One you make the perchase and put optics on it, you need to post some pics... Good luck with the decision.

Also, Bushmaster just anounced their very own .308 like the AR10, but this one takes FAL magazine that are about $5 - $10 new for 20 rounders. I dont know if you are really wanting the .223, but I would prefer the .308. Just thought I would toss that out there.

how can a ar-15 be a "varmint" rifle, Form what is on the news these are the very incarnation of death, with bullets that go for miles and through armored cars, spitting out 600+ rounds a minute and designed for accurate shooting from the hip.....
Sorry I couldn't resist |
