Good to know

too bad they still have no clue what the 2nd admentment means, but i guess something is better than nothing.

pretty typical requirements for it. other than maybe the age. most places its like 21, when you can buy as well, but oh well.

I think it will take a while for me to get used to this law. I see both good and bad points about it. Hopefully the license will be easilly run and not quite as easy to come by as a fake id.

ah fake CCW's arent a popular thing to fake. cause there is no reason to do it. no one will hardly ever ask for your permit that isnt a law enforcement officer. and for the most part those people that would want such a thing, wouldnt bother with one. like say banning guns....then the non law abiders are the ones that dont give up their guns...

yeah- seems great but all the ranges that give safety courses just trippled their rates- used to be $100, now its $300- not mandated, just greed

Has Ohmer lifted the injunction? Last I heard was that he was still stalling. If I'm wrong would you post the link please.

All my information comes from www.packing.org (great resource and very good forums).

Constant supply and increased demand=increase in price. Seems weird that someone who obviously appreciates freedom thinks that the only way prices should be raised is through a gov't mandate. Just my 2 cents tho.

I can't wait to walk into Denny's and see a sign at the front that says: "Please check your sidearm at the door." I'm really at odds to whether I would ever carry a gun though. I always joke that the reason I don't carry a gun is because of the constant temptation to use it. If I had a gun, then I wouldn't be able to say that. But then I would have a gun.... ah the conundrum.

I like free markets
I sell a product
I recognize supply and demand
I just choose to make a fair profit off my customers.
They were no where near filling those classes before, nor are they backlogged now- its just that now you have to have what they offer- can they thusly jack the price? sure, but as most of these places also sell guns, I would rather see them sell more guns to a larger number of legaly packing people- hell, maybe throw in a "free class with your gun purchase" promo-
I will conceed that it is the right of the buisiness to decide their own practice- as to the mandate statement- I had innitialy feared such a mandated minimum price as a barrier to citizen's RTC

I'm sure you could get arrested in MN for saying that, if you had a CCW permit.

An update for any interested party. Judge Stephen Ohmer made the injunction permanent so CCW is no longer legal until the MO supreme court listens and rules on the case. However open carry is still legal.
