War Arena

Me and my friends were discussing it earlier today, so I was wondering what everyone would choose here.

If you were put into a war-like arena, what would you be toting around? Me? I'd have 2 wrist crossbows, and 2 good curved swords.

An MP5SD6, some RBA, and a Bob Hart 14.2 oz Titanium framing hammer with a 20" handle.

:D

Hi-cap autoloading 12ga (Benelli, of course), S&W M-686/7 w/ 4" barrel as backup, and a good heater shield and mace combo to compliment SCA quality steel plate (well, SCA in my area, they make great stuff).

Kevlar body armour with steel plates over the major organs with Kevlar helmet and gloves.
Alley-Sweeper automatic shotgun, twin HK auto-pistols and a 10mm Glock for backup.
Battle axe, machete and K-Bar for close in action.

my ak-47

a sawn off double barrel 12 gauge

two cold steel panga machetes

spectra shield body armor (the type that stops knives as well as bullets)

knee and elbow pads, u.s. current issue infantry helmet, ballistic gogles

FN P90
FN 5-7 as backup
Glock Model 82
Lots of body armor... I don't care how much it weighs

Well, that's what you get for not putting any restrictions on your weapon's list :D

Since we're getting silly here, I'll take a standard army issue flame thrower against almost all of what you guys have picked.

If we are talking standard Roman Colusseum weapons, a round shield and a good size war hammer.

i´m going in naked, except for a pair of nice, clean white sneakers.

i´m taking a good chainsaw.

thats it.

Zerakule 10-13-2003 02:21 PM

Heh. Ok, future posters. Restrictions,
Modern weapons are a no,
Medieval/Colosseum weapons preferably.
Same goes for armor..

G5_Todd 10-13-2003 02:28 PM

lightsaber - damnit

a poleaxe

telekinetic2 10-13-2003 05:14 PM

I would be a net guy with a trident and and a small sword. That, or a bear. GRRR!

Moonduck 10-14-2003 11:48 AM

Colloseum weapons? Specific gladiators kits (ie retiarii, spadari, etc)? Probably not, as I'd doubt that anyone wants to do the research.

Again, SCA style plate, heater shield, mace.
