.17 mag rimfire
hey everybody hows it goin? i was searching around on marlin's website checking out those new .17 rifles. has anyone shot or own one? i'm thinking about maybe picking one up for a little varmint target practice. just was wanting some info from someone that had a little shooting time with one. from what i have been reading they seem to be a slick little rimfire round.

I've had the pleasure of using the .17 in the Savage pictured, topped by a BSA scope. That little round is a SCREAMER, and accurate as hell, too. Much as I hate to say it, beats any of the rimfires out there, as well as .22 Hornet, all to Hell, and I'd wager it against a .223, as well. A good friend of mine was the first man to make a confirmed kill at 200 meters ( groundhog ) with one, and he swears by them.
