http://www.toddrocks.biz/glock2.JPG http://www.toddrocks.biz/glock4.JPG http://www.toddrocks.biz/glock3.JPG with this safe under my bed or bolted under my desk i can get my gun out without having to look for a key or trying to look at a number combination....i love it |
Nice pair....why'd you pick that caliber? Not dissenting, just curoius...I was leaning towards the same thing, only in .40
|
The 23 is a .40....
|
23 is .40
26 is 9mm i would prefer two .40s |
ah i see. I could only read the 26, so I figured they were both 9mm.
You're saying you'd rather have a 27 than a 26? I agree, but I'm curious what other people would say...is .40 over 9mm a fairly universally accepted choice? |
I prefer 9mm myself.
|
why is that? easier to shoot?
|
Modern 9mm rounds (hollowpoints) have no problem stopping a human being.
The 9mm is easier to control and carries more ammunition. If I need a big bullet I'll go with a .45 or a 10mm, if I need firepower I'll go with the 9mm. I just don't like the compromise that the .40S&W cartrige offers. |
when you carry a gun every day at work....you tend to look at it differently.....it would be nice to have a .45 for the stopping power with as many rounds as the .40 can hold but u cant have it both ways.....
so i prefer the .40, i have carried 9mm .38 .40 .45 at work....and the most comfortable for me has been the .40 size of the gun has pros and cons and the one with the most pros has been the .40 for me pros glock23 fits comfortably in my hand... comfortable weight and size 14 rounds .40 never had a jam im sure i could go on |

okay....i cant find the instruction or warranty card that came with the safe i dont know its brand name...and i need to contact the company that made it....its not functioning properly....
anyone have an idea....im gonna call the store in the morning where i bought it and ask them....if i cant find it on the internet tonight |
It has to be Glock 23. Going back to any 9mm after that (Glock, Beretta, whatever) just feels too easy. As a wise man once said "Nuthin good comes easy.... ...sometimes nuthin good comes period."
|
I find 9mm a heckuva lot more accurate. My personal experience only, though it comes from shooting quite a large variety of 9mm and .40 guns..

Good stuff.
I have a USP compact in .40 S&W, in part because I like the way it fits my hands - Glocks just don't "feel" right to me - but my second choice still would've been a Glock. |
