Yeah, but 'why carry' is a personal issue that gun owners need to discuss in order to make an informed decision about whether/when to carry. If politics pokes it's head into the issue, it's just because it's an explosive subject.
---Also, I only posted to it because I thought I was posting in a pro-gun forum, rather than announcing the fact that I carry concealed to everyone on tfp.

The problem with discussing weaponry issues amongst non-weapon-knowledgeable people is that you get a lot of uninformed opinions that ruin a good discussion. I just don't see where the problem is if we have a reasoned and mature discussion/debate about weaponry issues. After all, I've seen some "political" topics in other forums here that have not been moved - - - old drivers in the motors forum, etc. . . .What's the difference?
