Modern Repeating Crossbows
Greetings, everyone.
I'm a huge fan of ancient and medieval weaponry and armor, and one piece that has always fascinated me is the repeating crossbow that the Chinese invented long in their past. I was wondering if anyone on the board knows if there are any modern day weaponsmiths or companies that make recreations of these or crossbows that work on the same repeating principle (I'm not very familiar with modernly produced weapons). Thanks. RiceGuy |

hmm well i have no idea where you can look for a repeating crossbow, however i do know where you can get a modern day crossbow. also they come in anything around 150 to 200 pounds. easiest way to find either is to search google for crossbow purchasing, and bowgun purchasing
good luck getting the one your looking for

If you have the skill, time, equipment and patience you can try your hand at replicating one like these guys did:

Looks like the kind of thing they would build on Scrapheap Challenge / Junkyard Wars. Would love to know how fast / acurate and range of these things. Oh just had a horrible thought, hope we don't see another Rambo film with Sly killing all the terroists in the world with one of these.....

Repeating Crossbows
To all who are interested in a repeating crossbow, there is a modern repeater!
It is made of Aluminum with wooden grips. It has a 50 LB fiberglass bow with a red dot scope. It holds seven arrows in the magazine and will shoot as fast as you can cock it and it is very acurate and deadly! It is definatly not a toy. Forgot to mention that it is a pistol crossbow.
