Hornady Critical Defense
 

Anyone know about Hornady Critical Defense loads? My carry weapon is a kimber tactical entry II, and I normally carry with winchester white box ammo, but wanted to switch to hollow points. The guy at the range recommended the critical defense loads over the hydra shocks.

Any thoughts?

That's a 45 ACP right? I don't think it matters so long as they're hollow points...

yea it's .45. I've read a few reviews about them, saying they were prone to misfires, but that was back in 2008. haven't been able to find any more recent reviews.

My experience with .45s in general is that they jam a lot. But I may have just been firing bad sidearms.

My advice is to shoot both, see which seems better. I mean a .45 hollow is going hit hard no matter what.
