Give me your Opinion: 9mm HKP30S V3 vs. M&P9 Ambi Safety
Just toying around with an idea for a next pistol:
I'd like something I can use at training, and something I can throw in to an IWB and run around town. I've been hearing *great* things about the S&W M&P, and I made the mistake the other day of holding one. It felt *great* in my hands, and I like the polymer design. In short, this gun is everything I felt the glock could have been. (Better grip angle, safety). However, I've also been wanting a P30S for the longest time. I found an auction last night for a P30S/Nightsights/complimentary knife for $850, which is not a bad deal. Heckler & Koch HK P30S V3 9mm w/Night Sights,Knife : Semi-auto at GunBroker.com So between a P30S 9mm and a M&P9 Ambi safety (going to install a Apex trigger kit [DCAEK] too). Which one would you choose and Why? Both guns will have night sights. I prefer a consistent trigger over a DA/SA. |
No. No. Don't do it.

Bad breakup w/HK back in the day? :D |
I have an MP40 but no safety, it's a really nice gun. It points very well. Only problem with the MP is the trigger is crap until its broken in, though the DCAEK is supposed to help, I will get one eventually. I haven't seen any of the HK p30s'.

Buy American! My M&P 40 is by far my favorite pistol. Don't get me wrong, H&K makes a good weapon but for the money, and the room to hot rod, I love the M&P.

Wraith--how was the accuracy on your M&P?
I'm hearing stories that the M&P's in 9mm and .40 are unacceptably inaccurate due to the slop in the barrel and early unlocking. Have you shot for groups at 15 yards? Thanks |
