CCW class reviews
Having seen a couple people asking questions about getting their CCW permit, I thought it might be a good idea for those of us who have taken the class for theirs to put up a brief review of the classes where we have taken ours. I know that we TFPers tend to be pretty spread out, but it might help at least one person find a good trainer, or avoid a bad one, if they happen to be fairly local to another member. I did a quick search and didn't see a thread like this, but if there is one and I missed it, then I have no problems if a mod shuts this down and tells me to look harder.
![]() I took mine in Tucson not to long again through Old Pueblo Security. ( Old Pueblo Security ) In the name of full disclosure, I've been friends with one of the guys (Cory) for a long time, however, he did not conduct the class I took, so I can say that my opinion remains unbiased. The instructor for the class was Eric, and I have to say, the guy was good. Kept the class moving at a good pace, had lots of great information, and was very competent all the way around. As a pretty new start up company, they are more flexible with setting up class times then most longer established classes held in gun shops and training facilities. the down side to this is that you might have a hard time setting up a class if it is for just one or two people. They state on the website that they do as few as 4 for CCW classes. I would defiantly keep them in mind if you are looking for one in Tucson.
