I'm not much of a gun person myself, but I've had more than a few lively debated about gun control and the role of weapons in modern society in here. They were quite enjoyable and I was able to get a better understanding of different perspectives on the matter.

This thread might answer your question better than I can
http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthread.php?t=20063 I hunt, I carry a handgun, and I shoot various clay target games, sometimes competitively. My 10 y.o. son shoots .22 target rifles, and will be doing so competitively next year. It's nice to have a forum where I, and people that are like minded can discuss various weapons, brands, models, and suitabilty of them for a particular purpose. We're really not a bunch of bloodthirsty murderers. Last edited by cj2112; 08-18-2006 at 01:06 PM.. |

Since this forum is in the "interests" section, it's probably safe to assume it's for folks interested in discussing weapons.
For some folks the discussion of weapons is a little more interesting than, say, discussing Beenie Babies. To each his/her own, right? We recognize that many folks do find the whole topic disconcerting so you wouldn't be in the minority. That sentiment has lead to many heated as well as enlightening discussions on both sides of debate. Feel free to research the archives - you might find some of the discussions interesting. just like tilted paranoia, it keeps the nuts in one place nah I’m not going to make fun of gun nuts, mainly because they have guns, but also because I have a sizably knife and sword collection, I look like a nut too.

Actually, you are trolling. A new poster, asking a question like that (after the answer is posted in a sticky in the forum itself), then not responding to his or her own thread is the textbook definition of a troll.
Thank you, have a day.

The purpose of this forum is for people with common or similar interests regarding devices used as tools and weapons to discuss these interests in a CLEARLY LABELED, easy to avoid area so as not to upset those who would find it disconcerting. And to have a gun/weapon discussions that do not turn into massive political pissing matches.

Some people like knitting.
We happen to like hunting, target-shooting, slashing things, blowing things up, etc etc. Guess what? We're no more dangerous than the folks who like knitting. You should therefore ask yourself, then, why you are disconcerted by our hobbies. |
