MetalStorm - 16,000 rounds a second
 

Wow, have you guys seen this new technology?

It can fire up to 16,000 rounds per second - that's over a quarter of a million rounds a minute. 9 mm, Grenades, or warheads - it doesn't make a lick of difference.

And - there aren't any moving parts, except the projectile itself.

Cooolll. At first I thought this was about a rail gun / Gauss rifle, but this is different. Thanks for the link.

I would have to imagine that this would be time consuming to reload, but aside from that, looks pretty awesome

The basic version of this was shown a few years ago on a History Channel/Discovery Channel Guns special. At the time it was more bleeding edge and limited to small caliber variations.

The "grenade storm" version looks to be the ideal home defense solution. :eek:
