I don't mind Glocks, but having no safety feels strange, and that little thing on the trigger bugs me to no end (makes my finger hurt after one or two mags).
Then again, I'm not a huge handgun fan; I'd prefer my Mossy 500 at those ranges, and an AR-15 or FN-FAL beyond that. If that won't do, it's probably not my business to engage anyhow and I'll just be movin' on. |

My fave at the moment is my Para-Ordnance P18, but I'll never give my 686 away.

1911 1911 1911. Made by a company that actually understands the dimensions of the design. That means the slidestop hole is the correct distance from the VIS and the breech face is 89 degrees 8 minutes. I challenge anyone to find that from the crap company's like S&W, Kimber, and Para Ordnance put out. Just because a gun runs doesn't mean it runs right.

My staff. It's about 6'4" long, 1 1/2" diameter. Not sure what kind of wood it is, but it's dense as hell.
In second is an old, beat-to-hell Louisville Slugger that I got at a pawn shop for $4.

Well, I don't own any guns, or have much experience with them.
Although TBH, I like my folding knife for everyday use. I bought it in a store in France. It's a Fox Invader 2. Does anyone know if this is a good knife? I also have a small Opinel, but it's more of a sentimental value kind of thing.

escrima sticks. they are small enough to conceal, they pass through metal detectors, they are silent, they don't jam, you don't need a permit for them, they will crush a skull or a knee cap. check them out in use at www.dogbrothers.com.

I prefer my ST Dupont Olympio/Orpheo with a unique deep lacquer finish (you have to feel it to know why it's so "special") and gold appointments. It writes well and feels great to use. The nib is a work of art.

Not as well as I should, as evidenced by the eight stiches I had to have in my left index finger.
(It was actually a "finger in wrong place when drawing", rather than a flaw in form...)

ouch.
I remember my first Benchmade liner-locked knife. I practiced one-handed operations ... When practicing at speed I almost closed the ATS-34 blade forcefully on my finger... twice.

Okay. I think I've come up with my favourite weapon. I know I've already posted my witty answer of a pen, but that isn't a weapon in the literal sense of the word.
I've always been partial to the good ol' fashioned trebuchet. Trebuchet at Château des Baux, France. If they don't kick ass, nothing does. Come on, it's a giant slingshot!

Im a sucker for the fancy and high tech things. So when it comes down to a good weapon something for home defense or just plain old outright post apocoliptic survival. I would have to say a nice Fancy high tech flint lock blunderbuss. A nice long one not just a pistol. With the widest muzzle i can get. Hopefully with some nice engraving on it just so it looks fancy.

TDP-1 (Tactical Defense Pen): This pen was designed with the military and law enforcement communities in mind. One end is pointed, which could be used as a very effective defense tool while the other end is blunt and could be used as a control device. The aircraft grade aluminum body with type 3 anodizing give this pen a very tough and reliable construction. Not only is this pen designed to be used as a defense tool and writing instrument but it also has a very attractive appearance and can also be used as a PDA stylus or pen. Allen Elishewitz who is better known as a world-class knifemaker and designer, has spent most of his life practicing martial arts and trained in several countries. This background enabled him to design the proper tactical defense pen for these extreme situations.
