Ebony Hunter - SRR Knife #1
Finally finished my first handmade knife!
This is a hunter forged from 1084 High Carbon steel, with a nickel-silver guard, ebony handle, and mosaic pin. The sharpened blade is 3.5" long with a 4" handle; 8-1/4" overall length. The whole knife is hand-rubbed to a 600-grit finish, and the handle is sanded to 600-grit then buffed to a polish. The mark was engraved with a diamond-stylus pantograph machine. This knife started about nine months ago in Old Washington, Arkaknsas. Forged and ground the blade there, and did the finish and handle here in Victorville. Took a lot longer than I would have liked, but for my first effort I am pretty happy with the results. Here are the pics: (Click for full size images) What do you guys think?

That's a fantastic piece of craftsmanship.
Well done.
