On-Line file storing
Has anyone tried or currently use a service be it free or pay? I have about a dozen or so files that i would like to have quick access to along with being on back-up. I dont have a floppy drive nor do i want to waste a cd-r for the 450k.
Thanks |

USB thumb or zip drives are the way to go.
The little keychain drives are great to keep anything on and with sizes from 128mb all the way up to 2gig you can find something in your size at a reasonable price, although it is much better to get the biggest possible one you can afford from the get go to avoid not having enough space too soon.

For that small amount use the storage your ISP provides you with
most are 10-15 MB

Gmail? I don't believe any of the filestore extenstions still work but you can always send things to yourself and leave them in your inbox. Give them a "File" label to make them easy to find.
Edit: Correct that - "GMail Drive Shell Extension" seems to work again. http://www.softpedia.com/progDownloa...oad-15944.html Even if they block the extension the files are just stored as email.

Thumbdrive was probably the best choice--cheap, has multiple uses, and is certainly a heck of a lot faster than uploading/downloading large files to/from the internet.
