iPod to Harddrive Music Transfer
So I recently had to wipe my harddrive, and backed up all my music to my iPod, figuring I could just use to EphPod to get it back off. Well, as I often am concerning computers and electronics, I was wrong. Does anyone know of a program besides ephpod that I could try to recover my music library?

I have had good luck with podutil though it did rename some tracks with the same name. I think there is even a tutorial for it on ipod lounge. The only thing you need to remember is to keep itunes turned off until you are done uploading your music. No matter what dont fret like I did, your music is safe and it will be easy to get it back on your hard drive.

ipodagent does it as well. I think you get one freebie and then you have to register it. I didn't use it yet but did download it for skogafoss.

Personally i just explore the ipod, go into the ipod control folder (which is hidden) and copy the entire music folder back onto my hard drive. I've done this several times already and it seems to work well although the titles and organization get messed up. Once you add all the files back to itunes/wmp though you dont even notice.
