My favorite Firefox extension, hacked for use up to 1.6a
Those who read Something Awful's Comedy Goldmine and Photoshop Friday may have seen a contest involving "features you wish you had " for your computer. From this, someone decided that the Stop. Hammertime! button would make an excellent Firefox extension. Unfortunately, this was only valid for versions up to 1.0. So, for the sake of my own use, I hacked it to support all versions, and now present it to you.
Installation process: Install extension Restart Firefox View>Customize>Toolbars Drag stop button off of toolbar, replace by dragging Hammertime button onto toolbar. Click button to stop browser. Unlike a typical button, you'll know when the subroutine has executed because you'll hear MC Hammer's voice proclaiming, "Stop. Hammertime!" there is a line of text in some file that gives valid version numbers. when 1.5 beta was out, there was a way to change 1.0.4 in the gestures extension to 1.6, 1.7, 3.9, whatever and have it work with the 1.5 version. I'm going to assume that is how you can tell
