Help me!! Is this where I post this.

My questions is regarding WIndows media files. Particularly Video Files. I want to know how to save video files off the internet that aren't just right click save target as. There are some out there that are not downloadable just by doing that and I wondered if anyone knew how to download that stuff. Can you help me.

Thanks,

Tundra

One way if the site has simply disabled right click is to go ahead and watch/load the video, and then copy the file directly out of your web cache folder.

It's easy, If you have IE just.....

1. Watch the Video...
2. Click Tools/Internet Options/Settings/View Files....
3. Scroll down to the bottom, find the Video and Right Click Copy
4. Paste Video in folder of your choice.

I use Download Accelerator Pro.. Just set it up to grab .mpg .mpeg .mov .avi .asf .ram .rm--and others as you think of them. I just add/remove them when I need to save a video.

If it's an asx file and it's being streamed I don't think you can get it though. At least I haven't. But I'm not the smartest dude on the planet.

A title describing your problem gets more views.

Look in the asx file... I'm pretty sure they're plaintext. Sometimes they have a (http) link to a wmv file in them.. which you can download. To do this: create a simple HTML page w/ an "a href" to the file.. then right click on your link and choose "Save Target As..."

Good luck!

What <i>AxByC</i> said. Try <a href="http://www.divx-digest.com/software/asf_recorder.html">asf recorder</a>. If my html failed, as it usually does, click on "asf recorder" to goto a link to download it for free.

BTW, what <i>juanvaldes</i> said. Be more descriptive in your subject line as to what you want. You will get more responses if people know what you are asking about.
