Composite to Component Switch
Hey all, quick query...
Any of you know of a 3 or 4 input switch that would allow a buddy of mine to take 3 or 4 devices with outputs like basic RCA/Composite and S-Video and up-convert to Component? He bought a commercial plasma screen with BNC connectors that he wants to hook up a whole range of different devices to and would like to avoid having to wrestle with the back of the set every time he wants to hook up something new. I ask in this section, coz I have a sneaking suspicion that I may need to take a range of parts from different devices (or purchase separately from Radio Shack or the like) and put something together for him. Ideas? Thanks Mikey |

I've seen switches with S-Video, Coax, and RCA inputs to RCA out before... you could connect that to a RCA to BNC adaptor....
but you'll lose the added resolution of S-Video like that.... I think you will be hard pressed to find exactly what you are looking for in one piece.... but regaurdless radioshack is not the place to do it unless you have a bunch of spare money.... find a good electronics shop that sales to professional installers... they will have a better in-store selection and MUCH MUCH better prices....
