ATi Software Overclocking?
I recently built a new computer and I put an ASUS ATi x850Pro PCI-x16 card in it. I was talking with my friend who got the x850XE Platnium Edition and he has an overclocking feature in his ATi Control Panel. I don't have this feature and he said that he heard that it might have to be unlocked on my card.
Any idea how I can get to this? I want to take full advantage of this card and not being able to overclock it isnt helping. I don't know much about overclocking as I have never done it before, but he said all that has to be done is move the sliders a bit and try it out. If it helps, here is my system specs (the important stuff at least): AMD A64 3200+ Venice ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe (Yes, I realize that this board with an ATi card is dumb) 2GB PC3200 Ram (running at 333mhz for some reason) ASUS ATi x850 Pro PCI-x16 256mb SoundBlaster Audigy 2 Pro Thanks, Steve

There is a overclocking option in the display advanced menu. its called overdrive. There should be a tab for it under display properties>settins> advanced. It will only show up if you installed the Catayst(sp?) Control center along with your drivers. You might have only installed the driver.
Another option is a program called powerstrip. |
