quick question
Ok I'm a computer dumbass so thats why I don't know this.
I want a wireless card for my desktop computer made by linksys. I'm just too dumb to know if the card is for a desktop or a laptop. If someone could link me to a linksys wireless card from newegg.com I would love you.

Do you want to have to open the case and install it or have to just plug it in USB? The USB is easier, but the internal cards typically get better signal strength.

NewEgg's selection sucks, and you don't need more than this unit:
http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...220&pfp=SEARCH or anywhere else that you can find that model for a better price. I'm assuming that the access point is already in place?

Their base price is the same as the COMPUSA price pre-rebate. The NewEgg MIR brings it to a whopping $49.99 A card is a better choice, but if you are "computer dumb", are you confident on getting it in there? |

And too, a wireless card with advanced functionality (ie. 802.11g) will be able to give you mroe security options should you upgrade your access point, as 802.11b devices do not have the most up to date security practices built in (ie. WEP vs. WPA/WPA2, etc.)
